Our gaze reaches only as far as what lies before us. We do not see an entire space, but only a part of it. We do not see behind us, through walls, or across vast distances. Even up close, our vision remains fragmented.

Physical sight is bound to space, direction, and surface.

It is a form of seeing within boundaries.

And yet, something lives within the human being that is not limited.

The Luminous Point

In the heart of the human being — not merely as an organ, but as an inner space — there is something invisible:

a tiny, luminous point.

This point is unimaginably small — smaller than the tip of a hair, a hundred times smaller. And yet it outshines everything. If it could be made visible, it would shine more brightly than the entire body.

This point is the soul.

Figuratively speaking, it sits at a table, on a chair, in a room located within the heart. This room is not physical, and yet it is real. It is connected to another plane:

to what people call the afterlife, the spiritual world, paradise.

This room is not somewhere else.

It is always within you.

Two Kinds of Seeing

When human beings open their eyes, their consciousness almost always turns outward. They see the world — streets, rooms, bodies, things. But this world is limited, fragmented, and distorted by perspective.

They do not see the depth of reality, but only its surface.

True seeing does not begin with the eyes, but with the return inward.

For while the eyes can only perceive part of a space, inner seeing is not bound to direction. It is connected to this luminous point — to the soul.

The Illusion of Wholeness

Human beings believe they know something about the world.

But they only think within their own limits.

They can imagine places where they are not.

They can picture situations they have never experienced.

They can judge things they have never seen.

But all of this is construction.

When someone speaks of their homeland while they are far away, they do not truly see it. They feel it, remember it, imagine it — but they do not see it.

Outer seeing is always bound to presence.

Inner seeing, however, is bound to consciousness.

The Path Inward

The meaning of life — one might say — lies in entering this inner space once again.

Not with the eyes.

Not with the mind alone.

But with a form of perception that lies deeper than both.

Many traditions call this path yoga — not as a physical exercise, but as connection. As return. As a turning inward.

For the heart is not only an organ.

It is a space.

And in this space sits the soul — silent, luminous, eternal.

Final Thought
(which is also a beginning)

As long as human beings look only outward, they remain trapped in the illusion of the visible.

They see — but they do not recognize.

Only when they begin to look inward does the dimension of their seeing shift.

Then they do not see farther —

but deeper.

Wie kann man durch Dimensionen blicken?
